Prof. Ryan Sochol's “Bioinspired Advanced Manufacturing (BAM) Lab @ the University of Maryland, College Park

is looking for a POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER to work on a project that combines the 3D nanoprinting approach, “two-photon direct laser writing (DLW)”, with MEMS strategies (e.g., mechanical sensors & actuators, sensor packaging) to pioneer an entirely new paradigm in sensing systems: 3D nanoprinting-enabled bioinspired arrayed seismic vibration sensors.   Must be U.S. Citizen available to start by October 1, 2020.

The Paranjape Nano/Micro/Bio Research Group at Georgetown University

is looking for an immediate, short-term person who has the basic fabrication skill set, with particular emphasis on PDMS, SU-8, kapton processing, and has some general knowledge in the area of electrospinning and/or hydrogels.  The position only has discretionary funding available at this time, and as such, would only be for a 1/2 year term.  However, if additional funding becomes available in the interim, the position can be extended.  The project is in conjunction with collaborators from the Georgetown University Medical Center, so a background in physiology would be a plus, but not necessary.

If interested, please contact Prof. Mak Paranjape at Mak.Paranjape@georgetown.edu
